EasyPro Strainer Baskets
Prefiltration is extremely important. Solid waste accumulates daily in a pond and is the number one problem for filtration.
When using a straight external pump it can be a good idea to install a strainer basket just before the pump as a pre-filter. This will help keep larger debris from possibly clogging the pump. The clear lid allows for easy inspection to know when cleaning the basket is required.
Your maintenance will be mostly focused on removal of solids. A good prefilter will make this job easier.
