Product Description
This De-icer is designed to float in the water and is thermostatically controlled with an automatic shut-off. The styrofoam float is completely enclosed within a rugged plastic housing. The cord exits from the top of the unit - cord length is 15' and 120 volts.
If your pond is made of rubber or plastic you should purchase the optional guard.
This guard (shown top-right not to scale) easily snaps onto several plastic API models of de-icers. It is constructed of galvanized wire and assembled without the use of welding, forming a much more sturdy and durable guard.
